A charming Parisian boutique hotel, with quirky interiors and a wine bar - includes breakfast

Hotel Eugène en Ville is an urban boutique bolthole inspired by the 19th-century town planner who designed the modern-day Paris we know and love. Located in the ninth arrondissement, the hotel discreetly lies between Opera Garnier and Galeries Lafayette department store.

Designers Carole Picard and Virginie Brisset have come up with a unique hideaway of a hotel decked in standout features, like dark baroque-themed wallpaper, original exposed wooden beams, furniture inspired by the 70s and a wall of TVs playing a bespoke black and white film. Ornate candelabras and mirrors add a touch of glamour to stark industrial spaces. You'll find this creative theme continues in the rooms, with optical illusion artworks and iPod docks.

Breakfast here offers all you need to set you up for a day's sightseeing, people-watching or doing whatever the heck you fancy. Eggs, bacon, fruit and yoghurt are plated up in The Canteen, which, serves French comfort food and wine - including delicious charcuterie and cheeses - to its clientele of discerning guests and hip locals at other times of the day. Hotel Eugène en Ville pocketed a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
